In its continued support of the PUV modernization program of the Department of Transportation -- through LTFRB, beep™ recently participated in the Bicol leg of the Hyundai BiyaHenyo Caravan, a regional sales initiative by Hyundai Asia Resources Incorporated (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Philippines.
Around 150 members of 23 transport coops, including GUBAT Transport Service Cooperative (GTSC), and Tabaco-Legazpi Transport Cooperative (TALETRANSCO), together with sponsors and partners like beep™, attended the event last May 18 at the PROXY by The Oriental Albay in Legazpi.
The BiyaHenyo Caravan: Maging Henyo sa Biyahe at Negosyo aims to provide transport modernization updates and tips, focusing on passenger safety, reduction of pollution, and reliability of modern PUVs. Attendees were also given first-hand experience by trying the key features and advantage of Hyundai’s modern PUV units.
Bing Dela Paz-Barraquias, Head of AFPI Transport Business, shared the company’s milestones and future plans focused on helping the transport operators optimize the benefits of Automated Fare Collection and a Cashless System using beep™’s innovative solutions.
