In support of the ongoing PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP) of the government, beep™ adds two new cashless payments partners to its growing roster of transport operators accepting beep™ cards: Marikina Jeepney Operators Transport Service Cooperative (MJOTSC) and Leon Transport Service Cooperative (LETRANSCO).
Last June 15, MJOTSC launched 15 Higer modern jeepneys that will ply the Parang-Stop & Shop via Aurora Blvd. route. MJOTSC Chairperson Cristita Delos Santos welcomed esteemed guests led by LTFRB-NCR Regional Director Atty. Zona Russet Tamayo to the ribbon-cutting event.
In the same week, LETRANSCO held the official turn-over ceremony, caravan, and blessing of 19 modernized Hino Motors PUVs that will travel from Leon to Iloilo City (Pavia Terminal) & vice versa. The event, held on June 18, was attended by Mayor Ma. Lina Cabana-Holipas of the Municipality of Leon, Iloilo along with other officials and representatives from LTFRB Region 6, LTO Region 6, PTICDO-Iloilo, OTC, LBP Iloilo Lending Center, and Hino Motors.
As more transport cooperatives give support to the government’s PUVMP, beep™ assures the transport industry that it will continue to develop innovative payment solutions to make the shift to cashless payments easier.
